Choir
(10 credits)
Students will learn how to sing. Anyone who is interested in singing
will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of music (notation,
pitch, rhythm & sight singing) as well as choral techniques. A variety
of musical styles will be performed
Concert Choir
(10 credits) Prerequisites: One year of Choir, and/or teacher
recommendation, audition
Students will study, sing and perform a variety of advanced choral
literature. Students will experience different genres of music from
madrigal to contemporary styles.
Concert Band
(10 credits) Prerequisite: Instructor recommendation
This group is made up of skilled performers. This band participates at
numerous concert activities during the year and takes trips to other
cities to see and hear outstanding musical organizations. Students
will be expected to play at football games and parades. Includes
one-week summer workshop (week before school starts), and night
rehearsals during the school year.
Jazz Ensemble
(10 credits) Prerequisite: Approval of Instructor/audition
Study of Jazz through performance. This group will participate in many
festivals and events. It is recommended that wind and percussion
players be enrolled in Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band
10 credits) Prerequisite: Instructor recommendation
This group is made up of the most skilled performers. This band
