Welcome!
Pioneer PTA has had strong parent support since the
beginning and we hope to continue that tradition again for the 2008-09 school
year. Our meetings are the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the
library and we try to keep them brief. Yearly dues are only $10.00 and go
toward supporting our students and teachers.
Our goals this year are the same as last year and include
the following:
Membership:
Parent support is key to a successful school, so we would like to involve as
many parents as possible. Join today and
bring a fellow parent!
Communication: We
are trying to expand our email base in order to keep everyone informed about
events at Pioneer. Send your email
address to patriotspta@yahoo.com and
we’ll add you to our list.
Community: We
encourage positive interaction between parents, teachers, administration, and
students and invite everyone to attend our meetings.
Support: We are
happy to be able to fund mini-grants of up to $400 to supplement classroom
activities and instruction. We also sponsor staff appreciation activities.
Fundraising: We
have one large fundraiser each year. We
sell the most delicious apple/berry pies in November just in time for
Thanksgiving delivery. Look for announcements about this fundraiser in October.
